Critic's Review Bright ruby color. Primary dark berry aromas are simple but offer very good purity and focus. Juicy blackberry and bitter cherry flavors are youthfully tangy, with good back-end acidity adding snap. The clean, brisk finish leaves behind notes of sweet dark berry preserves and cracked pepper.

My Thoughts The color of this wine was gorgeous. Vibrantly deep and dark red with purple hues. The bouquet was delightful. It was creamy and buttery on the nose with hints of dark berry fruits - blackberry and black cherry were heavy. The complexity of the nose made me excited for the tasting. However, the flavors of the wine were a disappointment in comparison. Creamy and dry, this was not my favorite combination on the palette. It finished with notes of spice and acid, masking dark red fruit.

This wine was not paired with any food.
